James, one of the founders of Carbon Signal reached out to VVITCH in need of a fully developed brand. He and his team had the skills to bring a brand to life on a website, but creating the actual brand was not in their wheelhouse. So they asked us to support them in not only creating a visual brand identity, but also naming their brand and doing some brand positioning/messaging work. Carbon Signal is an exciting company, on the cutting edge of the decarbonizing space and we were excited to get some experience in the industry.

Cut to the end of 2022 when Linnea reached back out, expressing that she hadn’t had time to implement any of the recommendations that we made. She knew she needed some website help. Justin was ready to level up his branding to attract a different caliber of client when he came to us. The logo that we landed on for Justin McCallum utilizes clean sans-serif fonts with a crisp, confident feel. The primary font used is bold and to-the-point, and the supporting font used is casual and light, so as not to compete with Justin’s name. The result is simple and clean, yet unique.

Taking into account Katrice’s goals, her audience and her brand’s personality, we created a logo and brand design that is laid back, elegant and modern. The colors evoke a sense of trust, but with an added bit of energy, thanks to the bold marigold yellow. The logo font hints at vintage, but the curves and angles keep it a little funky, too.
