Hi, I’m Jen Siomacco.
Helping small businesses and making the internet more accessible are my greatest passions.
After receiving an education in architectural design from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, I entered the world of user experience and customer journey design.
I worked in corporate settings, designing websites and systems while researching user needs in medical publishing and financial education.
I have since left corporate life behind, starting my own boutique marketing agency in 2020, and I’ve been helping businesses develop better marketing strategies ever since!

Marketing a Small Niche Publication, Catalyst Wedding Co.
From 2015 to 2020, Jen co-owned Catalyst Wedding Magazine with Amber Marlow, Carly Romeo, and Elizabeth Susong.
The print version of the magazine was sold worldwide and received press recognition, and the online site received hundreds of thousands of views per year during publication.
In 2017, Jen was awarded the Girlboss Foundation Grant for their work with Catalyst and gave a TEDx Talk on the importance of diverse representation in wedding media.
Because of their time working with Catalyst, Jen is uniquely able to help small wedding businesses succeed, especially those working to serve the LGBTQ+ community.
Web and User Experience Design
Jen worked as a user experience designer in corporate settings for 8 years from 2008-2016, first for a medical publishing company and then for a company providing certifications for financial advisors.
While working in the financial sector, Jen worked as a user experience architect and web product manager, documenting the company’s full digital ecosystem, customer experience, and audience personas. Jen also created multiple prototypes and ran user testing sessions to further improve the company’s website and functionality.
Jen also spent time working from the company’s Hong Kong office, striving to understand and document the unique needs of the Asia-Pacific market and customer needs.
Architecture & Design Education
While attending the University of Virginia, Jen studied architectural design and focused heavily on woodworking, industrial design, digital design, and robotics.
While a student, Jen spent a summer in Copenhagen studying Scandinavian furniture design, learning from skilled craftsmen and designers, and designing and building a chair. During her time at UVA, Jen also worked on the Learning Barge, helping to design and build the interactive project on the Elizabeth River in Portsmouth, Virginia.
Jen also took courses focused on digital design, robotics, and human-computer interaction.
