How It Startedβ¦
Initially, Raven of Raven Shutley Studios, came to VVITCH Digital for strategy help, which we provided using our modular approach to content creation. While we love creating social media content for our clients, it is also important to us that our strategy documents be user-friendly. So that, if you do not hire us for ongoing social media management, you can still utilize the strategy we map out for you.
After the strategy portion of the project, Raven brought us on to execute this strategy and manage her social media content creation for Instagram. Since taking it over, Ravenβs audience on Instagram has grown by 19% over the course of 8 months.

Time for a Playful Rebrand
After a few months, Raven decided she was ready for a rebrand. Starting with a branding questionnaire, we guided Raven through the process of βgrowing upβ in her branding. She likened the branding process with VVITCH to going through puberty. She finally felt she was coming into her own.
Raven identifies as a nerd and a cosplayer and a lover of puns, so we knew the brand needed to reflect that. The end result is funky, playful and eccentric.
The typography is slightly retro and draws on the βwest coast vibesβ that Raven was drawn to throughout the process while the color palette conveys fun, personability and edginess.
All-in-all, the new branding is much better suited to draw in Ravenβs ideal clients than her previous branding.
Raven Shutley Studios on Social Media
After Ravenβs branding was complete, we gave her existing social media templates a refresh with her new branding, incorporating her new typography, color palette and logo. This made for a seamless transition from the old branding to the new. We made sure her templates were photo-focused and felt fun and funky.
Sometimes, it is hard to keep everything cohesive across channels, so we always include social media avatars and cover images because we know that itβs critical to running a business.
Creating content for social media is one of the things our team loves the most. Itβs a collaborative process where we take most of the work off your plate, but you still play a role in what is being published on your channels. This process has been fun and effective with Raven. Not only is her Instagram content more robust, but she is minimally involved and is handed a calendar with links to images and copy-and-paste copywriting each month.
In addition to handling the content creation, we deliver monthly metrics to track the success of our efforts. If something doesnβt work, we iterate. While βset it and forget itβ is great, we want to make sure that we are always looking at the data to see how we can improve.
Since working with Raven over the past year, her Instagram following has grown 19% and her engagement rate has stayed strong and consistent (which is really what we look for).
