How It Started…
Sharma first brought us on in 2021 for help with Content Strategy and Brand Refinements. Sharma had a logo that she liked, but her color and font palette was not as robust as she wanted it to be. Two years later, she reached back out to us to have us help with a website redesign and build.
Refining an Existing Brand
We understand that not everyone wants or needs a full rebrand, which is why we offer Brand Refinements. Think of it as a light rebrand. We don’t touch your logo, but we do expand on your color palette (or give you a completely new one if it better aligns with your goals) and your font palette.
This was the case for Sharma Shari — she had a logo that she was perfectly happy with, but given all of the places a brand needs to show up, digitally, she realized she didn’t have enough to work with. Sharma wanted her visual brand to convey that she is quirky, creative and chic.
Our designer built a color palette that is bold and varied to communicate that Sharma Shari Photography is creative, eccentric, and confident yet approachable. The font family strikes a balance between ornate and simple to keep things interesting yet chic.
Semi-Custom Squarespace Website Design & Build
Sharma had reached a point, a couple of years after her Content Strategy and Brand Refinements project, where she was ready for a website redesign. She wanted a website that better reflected the branding we had created for her AND that was better representation of the variety of work that she does.
Our team was able to structure this as a sprint-style website build in Squarespace — the whole site was built and launched within 2 weeks! We love this option if you run a business with slow seasons since it really allows you to focus on the website build for a concentrated period of time and then it is launched and you don’t have to give it any energy.
We started the site build with the Althea template by The Styled Square and customized it from there. The end result is a bold, easy-to-navigate website that clearly conveys all of the types of work that Sharma does.
